The entire barrel-shaped case (51 mm in diameter and 39 mm in length) is made of grade 5 titanium with vertical brushing and polished bevels. The one-piece case is dotted with 13 exposed spline screws to ensure its sturdiness.

The baseplate and bridges of the UP-01 are made of grade 5 titanium, allowing the gear train to operate easily. The alloy consists of 90% grade 5 titanium, 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium.
